INDIANAPOLIS (DU/NCAA) – The University of Denver Division of Athletics and Recreation recorded a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 94% in the 2012 cohort, the NCAA released Wednesday as part of its annual GSR and Federal Graduation Rate (FGR) reports.
The Crimson and Gold's 94-percent graduation success rate tied for 51
st in the country in the 2012 cohort. In addition, Denver finished with the highest graduation rate among schools in the state of Colorado and among Summit League institutions.
Denver had nine sport programs record perfect graduation success rates in the most recently released data. Women's basketball, women's skiing, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, women's volleyball, men's basketball, men's golf, men's hockey and men's swimming and diving are the nine Pioneer programs that received full marks.
In the Pioneers' history, Denver has two programs that have received perfect scores every year since the university turned Division I in 1998-99 in women's volleyball and women's skiing. Denver's gymnastics program has earned perfect scores 13 times, women's soccer 11 and women's swimming and diving 11 in the last 15 years.
The single-year rate for student-athletes in the entire country who enrolled in college in 2012 increased 1 percentage point to 89%, the highest ever.
