LOGAN, Utah - The University of Denver men's basketball team couldn't slow down a red-hot shooting No. 17/19 Utah State team on Tuesday, falling 97-56 in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The Pioneers slipped to 1-2 on the year, while the Aggies remained perfect at 3-0.

Ade Murkey led the way for DU, scoring a team-high 14 points.

David Nzekwesi chipped in with a season-high 12 points.

USU was led by Brock Miller, who finished with a career-high 27 points on the evening.

The Aggies were dialed in from deep, knocking down a season-high 14 3s, easily surpassing the previous high of six.

Utah State got the start it was looking for, racing out to an 18-5 start in large part to some good outside shooting by the first media timeout. The Aggies made four of their first seven attempts from beyond the arc, a trend that would continue the night.

The 3s kept going for USU, helping them extend its lead to as many as 31 in the first half.

USU outscored the Pioneers 44-29 in the second half.
