LOGAN, UT. – The University of Denver men's tennis team fell to Utah State 6-1 on Friday afternoon. The loss is DU's second-straight and moves the Pioneers to 5-4 overall.
Despite the loss, Denver did pick up a singles win, thanks to Mattia Ros who defeated Sergui Bucur 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) at the No. 2 spot. The Crimson and Gold also put up a good fight in the doubles competition as James Davis/Matt Summers defeated Isaac Arturo Arevalo/Jose Carvajal at No. 1 while DU fell 7-5 in the remaining two matches.
The Pioneers who started off the season 4-1 will look to get back on track on Sunday afternoon when they take on Utah in Salt Lake City, UT.
