SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN, Ariz. – The University of Denver women's golf team played a one round stroke-play match against UCLA on Tuesday in preparation for the ASU Ping Invitational which takes place from March 29-31. The Pioneers were led by
Mary Weinstein and
Trucy Lee who both shot a one-over-par 73.
Overall Denver shot 12-over-par 300 while the Bruins shot an even-par 288.
The junior Wesintsein and freshman Li were DU's top performers on the day with the one-over par round. Li's one-over-par was her lowest round of the year.
Fellow freshman
Alyson Bean shot a 75 while senior
Sophie Newlove joined her in the 70's with a seven-over-par round.
Junior
Camille Enright shot an eight-over to round out the starting lineup while
Anni Heck shot 13-over as an individual.
