DENVER – The Denver Pioneers hockey team ranked 5
th in the USCHO.com poll and 6
th in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll, as released on Monday.
Denver fell one spot in both polls despite being among 11 teams in the USCHO.com poll and eight teams in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll that have not played in the 2020-21 season.
The Pioneers return 16 student-athletes from last season, including NCHC Rookie of the Year finalist
Bobby Brink, NCHC Goalie of the Year finalist
Magnus Chrona and eight seniors. Denver has nine NHL prospects on its roster after adding freshmen
Antti Tuomisto,
Carter Savoie,
Mike Benning and
McKade Webster in the offseason.
Denver is set to open the 2020-21 season on Wednesday, Dec. 2 in the NCHC Pod.
