FORT COLLINS – The University of Denver women's basketball team fell to regional foe Colorado State, 85-62 in Moby Arena on Sunday.
Significant Stats:
- Tsimba Malonga had a season-high 14 points off the bench, her third game this year in double figures.
- Pioneers' 62 points were a season low.
- DU's 25 first-half points were a season low.
Inside the Box Score:

Emily Counsel made her Denver debut, finishing with seven points off the bench.
- The Crimson and Gold had its four-game streak of making at least eight 3s come to an end, finishing with seven on the afternoon.

Meghan Boyd chipped in with 13 points, her fifth straight game in double figures.

Uju Ezeudu added nine points in 24 minutes.
Turning Point:
An 11-1 run from the Rams to start the game put the Pioneers in a double-digit deficit early.
As it Happened:
First Quarter:
Colorado State took control right out the gate, racing out to double-digit lead in the opening minutes. The Rams used a hot-shooting quarter to take a 19-10 advantage after 10 minutes of play.
Second Quarter:
CSU kept its foot on the gas in the second, outscoring the Pioneers 24-15 in the quarter to take a 43-25 lead into the break.
Third Quarter:
Colorado State turned in another 24-point quarter with some hot shooting, going 9-for-17 (52.9 percent) from the field.
Fourth Quarter:
Denver finished the final 10 minutes strong, outscoring the Rams 21-18 and posting its only shooting quarter above 50 percent (53.8).
