DENVER – Freshman forward
Bobby Brink of the No. 7 Denver Pioneers hockey team (17-6-5, 7-5-4-3) was named NCHC Rookie of the Month for January, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Brink led NCHC rookies with both nine points and six assists through eight games in January. The Philadelphia Flyers prospect potted three goals in his nine-point month, while leading conference freshmen with five power-play points, 21 shots and a +5 rating. Brink, a Minnetonka, Minn. native, scored at least one point in seven of his eight games in January, recording multi-point games against St. Cloud State (Jan. 11) and Omaha (Jan. 18).
In his rookie season, Brink has 10 goals and 12 assists through 27 games to lead NCHC rookies in scoring and rank 6
th in the national picture. He is on a five-game point streak with two goals and four assists.
