DENVER – Sophomore forward Bobby Brink of the Denver Pioneers hockey team presented by Centura Health was among 43 players selected to participate in the 2020 U.S. World Junior Summer Showcase from July 24-Aug. 1 in Plymouth, Mich.
 
The showcase serves as an evaluation camp to assist in selecting the U.S. National Junior Team that will compete in the 2021 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2020, through Jan. 5, 2021, in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta.
 
Brink is among nine invitees who represented the U.S. at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championship, where the Minnetonka, Minn. native had one goal and one assist in five games.
 
In his freshman season, Brink was a unanimous selection for the NCHC All-Rookie Team and named a finalist for NCHC Rookie of the Year. He finished second in NCHC rookie scoring with 11 goals and 13 assists in 28 games. On the power play, Brink paced conference freshmen with 13 power-play points on six goals and seven assists. Brink had 77 shots, the second-most among NCHC freshmen, and finished the regular season with a +1 rating. He was selected 34^th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2019 NHL Draft.
