DENVER – The Denver Pioneers hockey team has six former players on NHL Training Camp rosters, all of which opened on Monday, July 13, ahead of the NHL's Return to Play, scheduled to begin with qualifiers on August 1.
Logan O'Connor (Colorado Avalanche),
Scott Mayfield (New York Islanders),
Jason Zucker (Pittsburgh Penguins),
Tyler Bozak (St. Louis Blues),
Paul Stastny (Vegas Golden Knights) and
Nick Shore (Winnipeg Jets) were all announced to training camp rosters over the weekend.
The 2020 NHL qualifiers will take place in two parts simultaneously. The top four seeds in both the Eastern and Western Conferences will play a round robin against one another to determine seeding for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Seeds 5-thru-12, will play a best-of-five series to determine the last four teams in each conference's playoffs.

The first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs will begin August 11, the second round on August 25 and the conference finals will begin on September 8. The Stanley Cup Finals are tentatively set for September 22.
