Denver Announces 2021 Schedule

DENVER – The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team announced its 14-match regular-season schedule for the 2021 season on Tuesday.
The abbreviated 2020 spring season saw Denver open the year on a nine-match winning streak and continue its success to finish with a 12-1 record and .923 winning percentage, its best mark since head coach Ricardo Rubio joined the program five years ago. The Pioneers rose to 35th in the nation on Feb. 18 and settled at 45th when the last rankings were published.

Schedule Highlights
- Denver prepares to open the season at the ITA Kick Off in Fort Worth, Texas, facing TCU on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Wake Forest/Oklahoma on Sunday, Jan. 24
- The Pioneers are scheduled to play only six of their 14 regular-season matches on their home court. Denver is set to host Air Force (Jan. 29), Wichita State (Feb. 12), UNLV (Feb. 14), Metro State (March 1), Omaha (April 9) and Drake (April 10)
- Denver has scheduled three Power-Five opponents: TCU (Jan. 23), Wake Forest/Oklahoma (Jan. 24) and Utah (Feb. 21)
- The Pioneers are set to open Summit League play on Friday, April 2 vs. Oral Roberts
- The Summit League Tournament will be held in the Mile High City from April 30 – May 1 at the Denver Tennis Park
