DENVER – Freshman
Daniela Alfaro swept the distance swims and won the 200 fly to give the Pioneers the lead through the swimming portion of Saturday's meet, but the University of Denver women's swimming and diving program fell 158-142 to Colorado State on Saturday afternoon at El Pomar Natatorium.

Meet Highlights
Denver opened the meet with victory in the women's 200 medley relay, the program's first relay win of the young season.
Alfaro won her first of three events in the second event of the day, turning in a 10:50.94.
The Pioneers earned their first podium sweep of the season in the 100 breast.
Brandi Vu led the Pioneer trio with a 1:05.48.
Charlotte Simon finished second with a 1:06.31 and
Sophia Bricker took third in 1:07.00.
Alfaro continued the Pioneers winning ways with a victory in the 200 fly and
Erika Remington made it three events in a row for Denver with a win in the 50 free.
Aysia Leckie, who recorded the only event win for Denver in Friday's season opener, won the 100 free in 53.49.
Simon and
Emily Vandenberg took a 1-2 finish in the 200 breast with times of 2:22.49 and 2:27.45, respectively.

Denver's men's and women's programs will host Wyoming next Friday at El Pomar Natatorium.
