FORT WORTH, Texas – The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team held the lead twice before ultimately falling 4-2 to No. 12 Wake Forest on Sunday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Doubles
The Pioneers took their first advantage in the match with a pair of doubles wins.

Peter Sallay won a 6-2 decision vs. Siddhant Banthia/Matthew Thomson at #1, then No. 42

James Davis clinched the team point with a 6-3 win vs. Eduardo Nava/Adam Ambrozy at #1.
Singles
Wake Forest tied the match 1-1 with a victory at #1 before Denver took what would be its final lead of the day with Davis' 6-2, 6-1 win at #3 against Melios Efstathiou. Tied 2-2, the Demon Deacons separated from the Pioneers with a pair of tight wins: 6-2, 6-4 at #5 and 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 at #4.
