Malibu, Calif. – The Denver Pioneers women's tennis team dropped a tight match to Wisconsin on the last day of the ITA Kick Off in Malibu, Calif.
Doubles
The Pioneers took the first lead of the match with wins at #1 and #2 doubles.

Hada Chang were the first to finish with a 6-3 win against Cai/Markham at #1, then
Britt Pursell/Verden-Anderson sealed the point with a 6-4 win against Stocia/Makarova at #2.
Singles
The Badgers stole the lead with the first two singles wins before Anna Riedmiler tied the match 2-2 with a 7-6 (5), 6-1 victory at #2 vs. Markham. Denver put itself back in the driver's seat with
Toni Nelson's 7-6 (5), 6-2 win at #6. After Britt Purcell fell in the third set 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 at #3 it came down to #1 to decide the match.
Taylor Melville battled to a tiebreaker before ultimately falling 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (3).
