Denver Closes Out Mini-Homestand Sunday at 1 p.m. MT

The Pioneers host Oral Roberts for a Sunday matinee

DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer program welcomes Oral Roberts to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium for a Summit League clash on Sunday at 1 p.m. MT.

Last Time Out:

Denver scored four in the first and two more in the second to pull away with a 6-1 win over Kansas City on Friday evening at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. McKenna Dannenhauer scored twice and added an assist for a five-point day off the bench for the Pioneers. Natalie Beckman had three assists, including the second one of the night that broke the Denver DI career assists record. Her total now sits at 41. Sami Feller also added a goal and a helper.
 
Denver vs. Oral Roberts History:

Denver is 5-3-1 all-time against Oral Roberts, including 4-1-0 in the Mile High City. The two programs met for the first time in the Summit League, when the Pioneers earned a 1-0 extra time result in 2014. Oral Roberts took the next three in the series, but the Pioneers are unbeaten in the last five, going 4-0-1 in that stretch, including a pair of victories in February in Denver by scores of 3-0 and 4-1.
 
Notable Stats:
  • The Pioneers are 58-13-3 in the Summit League since joining the conference in 2013.
  • Denver has scored 36 goals from 13 different players to start the 2021 season. Sharp leads the way with nine goals, followed by six from Glover.
  • The Pioneers 13 different goal scorers, tying for the most in a single season since 2010. Denver's school record for different players to score in a season is 18 in the 2006 campaign.
  • Career Points Record Update: Feller has 81 career points, putting her seventh in Denver's DI record book. Beckman has 77 career points, moving her into ninth.  
  • Career Assists Record Update: Beckman has 41 career assists, breaking the program record previously held by Nicholette DiGiacomo and Jamie Norwood.
  • Career Goals Record Update: Feller has 28 career goals, good for eighth in Denver's DI history.
  • Brittney Lewis has played in 91 matches, starting 87 of them.
  • Head coach Jeff Hooker holds a record of 389-162-51 (.688) in his 30 seasons as the head coach of the Pioneers.
 
What's Next:

The Pioneers will head to North Dakota for a pair of matches next weekend. Denver will take on North Dakota Friday at 2 p.m. MT before battling North Dakota State Sunday at 12 p.m. MT. The Pioneers will close out the regular season the following weekend when they welcome South Dakota (Oct. 29/6 p.m. MT) and South Dakota State (Oct. 31/1 p.m. MT) to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
