SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – University of Denver junior forward
Sydney Sharp has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Sharp scored a pair of game-winners in the Pioneers weekend sweep of Kansas City and Oral Roberts at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium this weekend. She has scored in each of her last six appearances and in 11 of 15 matches this season.
The Denver junior has also scored a goal in 15 of her last 22 appearances overall dating back to the end of last season.
Sharp is one of three players in the country to score in 11 different matches this season, sharing the national lead with Arizona State's Nicole Douglas and Central Arkansas' Emma Hawkins.
