DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer program returns to the road this weekend for a trip through North Dakota to take on the Fighting Hawks on Friday at 2 p.m. MT.

Following a 6-1 win over Kansas City less than 48 hours prior, the Pioneers struggled to convert their numerous chances in the first half, but capitalized on two in the second half to stay perfect in Summit League play with a 2-0 win over Oral Roberts on Sunday afternoon. The Crimson and Gold outshot the Golden Eagles 26-3, including 12-2 on target, and took all 11 corner kicks in the match.
Denver vs. North Dakota History:
Denver is 5-0-0 all-time against North Dakota, outscoring them 16-2 in the series. The Pioneers won in Grand Forks by scores of 3-2 and 2-0 a year ago. These two programs also met twice in 2019 with Denver winning the regular season meeting 7-0 and the Summit League Semifinal in Brookings by a score of 3-0. The first meeting in 2018 at Denver was decided by a goal at 1-0.

- The Pioneers are 59-13-3 in the Summit League since joining the conference in 2013.
- Denver has scored 38 goals from 13 different players to start the 2021 season. Sharp leads the way with 11 goals, followed by seven from Glover.

- Brittney Lewis has the program record for matches played with 92.
- Lewis is three starts behind injured teammate Taylor Parker for the career record for starts made.
- Single Season Goals Record
- Sharp's 11 goals on the season are six behind the single-season record held by Jenni Harris and Taryn Hemmings.
- Single Season Assists Record
- Beckman has 13 assists on the season, two behind Nicholette DiGiacomo's record set in 2010.
- Single Season Game-Winning Goals Record
- Sharp's five game-winning goals is three behind Taryn Hemmings' eight in the 2008 season for the program record.
- Head coach Jeff Hooker holds a record of 390-162-51 (.689) in his 30 seasons as the head coach of the Pioneers.
What's Next:
The Pioneers will head to North Dakota State on Sunday for a 12 p.m. MT kickoff before returning home for the final two matches of the regular season when the Pioneers host South Dakota (Oct. 29/6 p.m.) and South Dakota State (Oct. 31/1 p.m.).
