PANORAMA, British Columbia – The University of Denver alpine ski squad heads to Canada this week for the second stop of the 2022 Nor-Am Cup at Panorama Mountain Resort.
 
The competition was set to begin on Sunday, Dec. 12 with the men's alpine combined and men's and women's Super G, but all three events were cancelled. More Super G events are set for Monday, Dec. 13, as well as the women's alpine combined.
 
The technical events start on Tuesday with men's and women's parallel giant slalom. Individual slalom and GS events are scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday.
 
Nearly all of the Pioneers' alpine student-athletes will participate in the competitions this week, with the exception of senior Katie Hensien, who is currently with the U.S. Ski Team.

Denver opens the 2022 Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association campaign right after the New Year, with the Nordic team at the Utah Invitational on Jan. 2. The alpine squad begins its collegiate season on Jan. 18 at the Montana State Invitational. This year's NCAA National Championships will be held at Park City Resort and Soldier Hollow, Utah, from March 9-12.
