KANSAS CITY – The University of Denver men's basketball team couldn't slow down Kansas City in the second half, falling 80-69 in the Swinney Center. The loss gave the Roos the season sweep over the Pioneers.

As it Happened:
First Half:
Neither team found separation from the other to start, keeping it a two-point game midway through the opening half, 17-15 in favor of Kansas City. Denver picked up its first lead of the night at 20-19 after
Roscoe Eastmond went to the rim and converted at three-point play at the line. The Roos were able to take a one-point lead into halftime, 32-31.
Second Half:
Couple 3s from Caden Boser pushed UMKC's lead to five at the first media timeout at 46-41. Kansas City pulled away for good with a game-breaking 10-0 run shortly after to take its first double-digit lead of the evening at 60-50. Denver never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.
Up Next:
Denver (2-17, 1-11 Summit League) finishes up the regular season with its final two-game series against Omaha. First game is set for Friday at 4 p.m. MT.
