Denver Continues Six Match Homestand Against South Dakota Friday/Sunday

The Pioneers are 4-0-0 in Summit League play to start the 16-match campaign

When: Friday, February 26 at 12 p.m. MT and Sunday, February 28 at 11 a.m. MT
 
Last Time Out:
Denver opened its 2020 Summit League home schedule with a pair of victories over Oral Roberts by scores of 3-0 (Feb. 19) and 4-1 (Feb. 21). Natalie Beckman led the Pioneers with two goals and three assists on the weekend, while also playing the cross that led to an own goal.  
 
DI Series History:
Denver is 6-1 all-time against South Dakota, winning each of the last four matches against the Coyotes. The Pioneers are 3-0-0 at home against South Dakota. Denver's lone loss in the series was a 4-1 defeat at South Dakota in the 2015 campaign.
 
Last Meeting:
South Dakota 0-1 Denver
Meg Halvorson scored in the sixth minute off assists from Brittney Lewis and Natalie Beckman for the only goal of the match. Denver outshot South Dakota 19-6, including 6-2 on goal.
 
What's Next:
Denver will cap off its six-match homestand against North Dakota State March 5 and 7.  
 
Other Notes:
  • Denver allowed zero shots on goal in last Friday's match against Oral Roberts, the 25th time Denver has done that in its Division I history (25-0-0).
  • The Pioneers also held Oral Roberts to just four shots on Friday and three shots on Sunday.
  • Beckman leads Denver with 12 points on four goals and four assists this season.
  • Feller has three goals and four assists for 10 points.
  • Five other Pioneers have one goal.
  • Denver has conceded only twice this season, both off own goals.
  • Nerea Arrazola has made nine saves against the two goals allowed.
  • Feller became the 14th player to score 20 goals and the 16th player to reach 50 career points on Feb. 21.
  • Beckman is tied for 10th in Denver's DI history in career assists with 19.
