DENVER – The University of Denver women's basketball team used a long-range attack to knock off Omaha on Friday, 94-82 in Hamilton Gymnasium. The Pioneers' 15 made 3s were a new season high in the victory.
Inside the Box Score:
- Meghan Boyd led the way with a career-high 31 points, highlighted by five made 3s in the win.
- Tsimba Malonga continued her stellar play, posting a career-high in points for a second straight game with 22.
- Claire Gritt continued to show her all-around game, going for 18 points, five rebounds and a career-high eight assists.
- The Mavericks were led by a team-high 21 points from Elena Pilakouta.

- Denver scored a season-high 94 points in the victory.
- The Crimson and Gold recorded a season-best 15 made 3s in the contest.

A late run in the fourth that was capped off by Boyd converting a three-point play at the line to push the DU lead into double figures.
As it Happened:
First Quarter:
Both teams set the tone for a fast-paced game, with Denver taking a 27-24 lead after 10 minutes. The Pioneers were powered by an offensive eruption from deep, knocking down five 3s in the quarter.
Second Quarter:
Omaha took the second quarter behind a 10-for-15 effort shooting the ball, resulting in a one-point contest at half, 47-46 in favor of DU.
Third Quarter:
The Crimson and Gold continued its scoring output, posting its third straight 20-plus point quarter. Denver had it going from the field, shooting 8-of-15.
Fourth Quarter:
Both teams traded baskets in the final 10 minutes of action but a late push from Denver put this one out of reach.

Denver (7-14, 5-8 Summit League) closes out the regular season with the finale against Omaha on Saturday at 1 p.m.
