SNOWBIRD, UTAH – The University of Denver skiing team got a big boost with the arrival of some key additions on Monday at the RMISA Invitational at Westminster & Soldier Hollow. The Pioneers wrapped up the day second as a team after both women's slalom races were held at Snowbird.
Significant Stats:

Amelia Smart, making her season debut, was dominant from the jump, finishing first in both slalom races (80 points) on the day. The four-time All-American was fast all day long, setting the tone with stellar first-run times in both races.

Eleri Smart, also making her debut, also had an immediate impact, finishing 11th in the first race (20 points) and 19th in the second race (14 points).

Reece Bell shook off a rough first race to bounce back and place fifth in the second race (29 points), highlighted by posting the fastest second run time of any competitor.

Galena Wardle, in her collegiate debut, finished 21st in both races.
- DU's 157 points were good for second, just six back of Utah.
