FRANCONIA, N.H. – University of Denver Skiing senior
Tobias Kogler nearly went back-to-back in individual National Championships in the Giant Slalom on Wednesday, finishing second at the NCAA Championships. The senior from Austria was narrowly beaten by Mikkel Solbakken's time from Westminster College at the very end of the second run.

Significant Stats:
- Kogler led Denver on Wednesday with his runner-up finish (37 points). He did earn his third first-team All-American selection in the giant slalom with his performance.
- Simon Fournier finished 14th (17 points) on the day.

Tristan Lane recorded a 24th-place finish (seven points) in the race.
- On the women's side,
Reece Bell led the charge for the Pioneers, finishing 15th (16 points).

Amelia Smart placed two spots behind Bell, finishing 17th (14 points) in the giant slalom.

Eleri Smart took 25th (six points).
- The Crimson and Gold currently are in fifth with 97 points (61 men, 36 women) through two races.

Denver is set for Nordic action with the women's 5K and men's 10K Classic from the Jackson Nordic Center in Jackson, N.H. on Thursday.
