As it Happened:

First Quarter:
North Dakota State opened with a string of 3s to take a 9-2 advantage before Pioneers roared back with an 8-0 run to take its first lead at 10-9 on a layup from Tsimba Malonga in transition. Second Quarter:
Back-to-back 3s from the Crimson and Gold wasn't enough to stop NDSU from pushing its lead to 14 at the 5:34 mark. North Dakota State was able to penetrate and get to the rim and convert. The Bison kept the pressure on, going into the half up 40-25.

Third Quarter:
North Dakota State opened the second half with a bang, quickly pushing its lead to 21 after a 3 from the right wing by Ryan Cobbins at the 7:26 mark, forcing Denver to take a timeout. The Bison continued to build the lead with some hot shooting, taking a 25-point lead into the final frame, 65-40.
