FARGO, N.D. – The University of Denver women's tennis program defeated North Dakota 6-1 on Saturday afternoon at Choice Health and Fitness.
Doubles:
Denver took the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 court. The 59th-ranked tandem of Britt Pursell and Camille Verden-Anderson won 6-2 on the top court and Hada Chang and Anna Riedmiller won 6-2 on the No. 2 court.
Singles:
116th-ranked Riedmiller won a tight three-setter at No. 1 singles and Taylor Melville won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles to give the Pioneers two points in the top-half of the singles lineup.
The back half of the lineup was perfect. Verden-Anderson won 6-0, 6-1 on the No. 4 court, Tatum Burger won 7-6 (3) and 6-2 on the No. 5 court and Toni Nelson won 6-1, 6-2 on court No. 6.
