Last Time Out
Denver used its first double-digit scoring quarter since 2011 in the third to pull away from 16^th-ranked Villanova last Saturday at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Jackson Morrill, Jack Hannah and Lucas Cotler all had hat tricks for the Pioneers.
 
DI Series History
Denver is 8-2 all-time against Georgetown with the two programs splitting the last four meetings. The Pioneers won the first meeting of the season by a count of 13-7 on a Tuesday afternoon at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Denver is 7-0 against Georgetown in BIG EAST regular season meetings and 37-1 against BIG EAST opposition in the regular season overall.  
 
Other Team Notes

• Head coach Bill Tierney is in his 12th season with the Pioneers, holding a 145-45 record at DU and a 417-138 career record in his 37th season.
• Denver is fourth in senior class wins (2017-21) with 49, 9 behind national leaders Duke.
• Yale transfer Jackson Morrill has recorded a point in 67-straight games, recording 260 points (130-130) during the stretch. That streak is the longest active streak in the country.  
• The 2021 Denver Pioneers have players from 18 different states across the country.
  • Since turning Division I ahead of the 1999 season, the Pioneers have had players from 32 different states.
• Ethan Walker is now Denver's career leader in points with 258. He broke Wes Berg's record, late in the second quarter of Denver's win against Marquette two weeks ago.
• The Pioneers are ranked fourth in the country in opponent clearing percentage, limiting opponents to 77.6 percent in the clearing game.

 
What's Next
The University of Denver men's lacrosse program, presented by Your Front Range Toyota Stores will return home next weekend to take on St. John's. Faceoff for Senior Day is set for 12 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on Pioneer Vision and ESPN Denver 1600.
