Denver got two early goals in the first half and kept its fifth cleansheet in the last six matches to defeat fourth-seeded South Dakota 2-0 on Thursday in the first of two Summit League Semifinals at Caniglia Field.
Kaitlyn Glover, who has scored four goals in her career, scored the game-winning goals to clinch both the 2019 and 2020 regular season titles and Thursday's Summit League Semifinal.
Sydney Sharp added the second goal for her fifth of the season in the 25
th minute.
Summit League Regular Season Title:
- Three-straight Summit League regular season titles.
- 11th NCAA DI title in program history
- Fifth Summit League title in program history (2013, 2016, 2018, 2019)
- First time Denver has won three-consecutive conference regular season titles
Conference Tournament History:
- Denver is 35-5-5 in its NCAA DI conference tournament matches
- 9-0-3 in the Summit League Tournament
- 14-3-2 in the conference semis
- 10-1-3 in conference finals
- 1-4 in penalty shootouts (last win was in 2001, 3-2 vs. FIU in SBC semis)
- Second meeting vs. Omaha in the Summit League Final (4-0 Denver in 2018)
DI Series History:
Denver is 9-1 in its DI history vs. South Dakota, including 4-0 at Caniglia Field. The Pioneers swept the regular season series at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium, defeating Omaha 2-1 in the opener and 1-0 in the series finale.
Natalie Beckman,
Malak Rafik and Sharp scored the goals for the Pioneers in the series. In the only previous Summit League Tournament meeting between the two programs,
Camryn MacMillan scored twice to lead the Pioneers to a 4-0 win over the Mavs.

The winner of Saturday's Summit League Final will have its name called during the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Selection Show on Monday at 11 a.m. MT. The selection show will stream live on NCAA.com.
