FARGO, N.D. – The University of Denver women's swimming and diving program captured its 10^th Division I Conference Tournament title, including its eighth-straight in the Summit League with the 2021 Championship on Saturday night at the Hulbert Aquatic Center.

Emily Vandenberg was named the Women's Swimming MVP, Olivia Gordon was named the Diver of the Championship and Ines Marin was named the Women's Newcomer of the Championship. Mads Rishøj was named the Men's Newcomer of the Championship.
 
Women's:
Brandi Vu opened Denver's Saturday night with a win in the 100 IM, taking the event in 56.60.
 
The final distance race of the 2021 championships was the mile. Denver took the top two spots. Angie Lindsay took the gold with a 17:12.06, while Izzy Smith captured the silver in 17:20.32.
 
Sofia Nosack got in the win column in the 200 back, capturing the individual title in 2:01.16. Livi Schmid got herself back on the podium, taking second in 2:02.74.
 
Denver took first and third in the women's 100 free. Aysia Leckie retraced her steps to the top of the podium with a 50.90. Erika Remington took third with a 51.35, Ines Marin finished fourth in 51.39 and Emmy Francell reached the wall in fifth with a time of 52.28.
 
The Pioneers swept their first podium of the night in the women's 200 breast. Charlotte Simon took first in 2:13.60, Emily Vandenberg earned a runner-up finish in 2:14.67 and Sophia Bricker clocked in at 2:17.55 to take third.
 
DU grabbed another first and third finish in the women's 200 fly. Uma Knaven took first in 2:02.98, while Daniela Alfaro reached the wall in third with a time of 2:05.51. Deniz Ozkan wrapped up her meet in fifth in 2:08.36 and Olivia Kercheval-Roig clocked in at 2:10.06 to take sixth.
 
The Pioneers capped their eighth-straight Summit League title with a win in the women's 400 free. Remington, Leckie, Schmid and Marin swam the event in 3:24.51 for Denver.
 
Men's:
Denver's men got its first two podium finishes of the final day of competition in the men's mile race. Rishøj won by just under 12 seconds with his time of 15:29.53. Riley Babson finished just behind his teammate in second, reaching the final wall in 15:41.04.
 
Darragh Mahns got Denver's men back on the podium in the 100 free, finishing second with a 45.16.
 
The Pioneers occupied two spots on the podium in the men's 200 breast. Alex Lynch took second in 2:01.78, followed closely behind his teammate Alexander Blom who finished third with a time of 2:02.70. Kelby Modene earned 15 points for the Pioneers with a fourth place finish in 2:03.45.
 
Knox Williams and Zachary Bayler wrapped up their meets with fifth and sixth place finishes, respectively, with times of 1:53.52 and 1:54.70.
 
Denver closed out its meet with a second place finish in the 400 free relay. The quartet of Mahns, Williams, Babson and Bayler combined for a time of 3:04.00.
