Men’s Golf Places Eighth at BYU Ping Cougar Classic

Pioneers post best round on final day of play in Provo
PROVO, Utah – The University of Denver men's golf team finished up its final tune up of the regular season on Saturday, placing eighth at the BYU Ping Cougar Classic. The Pioneers posted a 54-hole team score of 853 (11-under).
Course Info:
- Riverside Country Club
- Par 72 for the course
- 7,142 yards
Significant Stats:
- No. 28 San Francisco took home the team title at 41-under, 13 strokes ahead of the nearest competition.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Cal McCoy was the Pioneers top finisher, tying for 12th at 6-under for the tournament.
- Jackson Solem tied for 20th with a two-day total of 212 (4-under).
- Connor Jones closed out the afternoon tied for 51st at 2-over.
- Carson Griggs and John Sand tied for 60th.
- Jun Ho Won, competing as an individual, tied for 42nd at the tournament.
