DENVER – The [49/49] University of Denver women's tennis program swept South Dakota 7-0 to claim its eighth-straight Division I regular season conference title, including its seventh-straight in the Summit League.
Denver's win was its ninth-straight and its 12th in its last 13 matches.
Doubles:
Britt Pursell and Camille Verden-Anderson won the No. 1 doubles court 6-2 to improve to 10-2 on the year and Toni Nelson and Taylor Melville won 6-3 on court two to stay a perfect 4-0 as a doubles tandem and claim the doubles point on Saturday afternoon at the Denver Tennis Park.
Singles:
Anna Riedmiller won her singles match 6-2, 6-3 for her 13th-straight singles win. Melville won on court two, 6-4, 6-4 for her seventh-straight victory. Pursell took her third singles match in straight-sets by a count of 6-2, 6-2 to improve to 10-3 on the year. Tatum Burger won her fourth-straight singles match, taking the super-tiebreaker in the third set after a 6-3, 3-6, first two sets. Hada Chang took her fifth singles match in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 for her fifth-straight win. Nelson won on the sixth court 6-3, 6-4 for her fifth-straight victory.

Denver and South Dakota will open the 2021 Summit League Women's Tennis Championship, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, Friday at 3 p.m. MT at the Denver Tennis Park. The winner will play the winner of Kansas City and North Dakota in the Summit League Final on Saturday, May 1, at 2 p.m. MT.
