Andrea Burguete to a National Letter of Intent to join the Pioneers for the 2021-22 season, head coach

Before Denver: Won the Rafa Nadal S14 National Tournament in 2017, while helping her team to a regional title that same season…2018 Doubles finalist in Budapest S16s…2019 National tournament winner in Valencia at the U16 level…Regional Madrid Championship winner at S18 in 2019…Team Junior Madrid Championship winner in 2020 and doubles winner at ITF Giza S18s…Top-10 in her age group since 2014…Highest ITF Junior rankings at #787.
Personal: Daughter of Federico and Mireya...Great grandfather Guillermo Forner Fandos played as a goalkeeper in the top division of Spanish football for Real Betis…Chose the University of Denver for its high level of tennis, and the great academic opportunities…Aspires to play professional tennis and pursue a career in marketing…Enjoys listening to music and playing other sports.
Up Next: Anna Riedmiller will represent the Pioneers in the 2021 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championships, May 23-28 in Orlando, Fla. Riedmiller's draw in the tournament will be released at a later date.

University of Denver Athletics and Recreation announced the launch of the 5280 COVID Relief Fund in September, a yearlong campaign with a goal of raising $1 million that will go towards supporting divisional operating costs negatively affected by COVID-19.
