Farber Qualifies for 50 Free Semis, Robrock Closes Out U.S. Olympic Trials

Sid Farber will swim in Saturday night’s 50 free semifinals
OMAHA – University of Denver men's swimming and diving assistant coach and former Pioneer swimmer Kyle Robrock completed his second U.S. Olympic Team Trials on Saturday ahead of this summer's Olympic Games.
Robrock opened his 2020 trials with a 61st place finish in the 100 back, improving 24 spots in the event compared to his first time around, clocking in at 57.77. On Wednesday, Robrock took 57th in the men's 100 free with a time of 51.00, improving on his time by nearly half a second from 2016 and improving his finish by 23 places. In the 100 free on Wednesday, Pioneer swimmer Sid Farber took 59th with a time of 51.20.
The Denver assistant improved five spots in the 50 free, taking 34th on Saturday morning, clocking in at 22.74.
Farber tied for eighth in the 50 free with a 22.15 to qualify for Saturday night's 50 free semifinal.
