DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer program will host its second match of the 2021 Colorado Cup that will also serve as the official table setter of the 2021 regular season when the Pioneers host Air Force on Thursday at 7 p.m. MT.

For the 2021 season, the University of Denver announced the creation of a new DU soccer fan club called "Denver FC". Fans that purchase the Denver FC package will get season tickets to all Denver men's and women's soccer home games, a Denver FC scarf and a season parking pass for all Denver Soccer home events.

Colorado Cup Standings:
Denver is in the top spot of the 2021 Colorado Cup standings on the goals scored tiebreaker. DU and CU sit atop the table with three points, both with a +2 goal difference. The Pioneers scored three in their opener on Saturday, compared to the Buffs 2-0 result.
Last Time Out:
A first half opener from
Sami Feller, a brace from
Sydney Sharp and five saves from
Nerea Arrazola carried the Pioneers to a 3-1 victory in Saturday's exhibition to kick off the 2021 Colorado Cup.
Denver vs. Air Force Series History:
Denver is 6-2 in its Division I history against Air Force, including 4-0 in home matches. The Pioneers had won four in a row between 2000 and 2008, before losing the next meeting in 2015 at the Academy. In the last meeting, an extra time winner from
Jessie Dancy kicked off Denver's campaign with a win and was her first of 14 goals that season.
Leading Ladies:
Sharp, who scored twice in Saturday's exhibition win, scored in four of Denver last seven matches in the spring, including the game-winner in Denver's NCAA First Round win against Loyola Chicago.
Natalie Beckman had an assist on Saturday night after her 14-assist spring campaign, part of a 34-point season to lead the Pioneers. Feller was second on the team with 27 on nine goals and nine assists.
Returning Starters:
Denver returned nine starters on Saturday night that featured in
Jeff Hooker's Starting XI just three months ago.
Taylor Wells featured in place of
Meg Halvorson and
Addisyn Hyrup played outside back in place of
Alex Nillen.
What's Next:
The 2021 Colorado Cup concludes with a Sunday triple header at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Colorado and Colorado College kickoff at 12 p.m. MT. Denver will host Colorado State at 2:30 p.m. MT and Air Force and Northern Colorado will round out the day at 5 p.m. MT.
