A first half opener from Sami Feller, a brace from Sydney Sharp and five saves from Nerea Arrazola carried the Pioneers to a 3-1 victory in Saturday's exhibition to kick off the 2021 Colorado Cup.

Denver vs. Air Force Series History:
Denver is 6-2 in its Division I history against Air Force, including 4-0 in home matches. The Pioneers had won four in a row between 2000 and 2008, before losing the next meeting in 2015 at the Academy. In the last meeting, an extra time winner from Jessie Dancy kicked off Denver's campaign with a win and was her first of 14 goals that season.

Leading Ladies:
Sharp, who scored twice in Saturday's exhibition win, scored in four of Denver last seven matches in the spring, including the game-winner in Denver's NCAA First Round win against Loyola Chicago. Natalie Beckman had an assist on Saturday night after her 14-assist spring campaign, part of a 34-point season to lead the Pioneers. Feller was second on the team with 27 on nine goals and nine assists.

Returning Starters:
Denver returned nine starters on Saturday night that featured in Jeff Hooker's Starting XI just three months ago. Taylor Wells featured in place of Meg Halvorson and Addisyn Hyrup played outside back in place of Alex Nillen.
