LOS ANGELES – The University of Denver Volleyball team continued its hot start to the 2021 season on Saturday, dismantling Campbell in three sets to remain undefeated. The Pioneers won 25-14, 25-16, 25-15 against the Camels in the Galen Center.

- Lydia Bartalo continued her stellar play, finishing with her second double-double of the year, recording 13 kills and 10 digs
- Lorrin Poulter had a season-high 11 digs in the victory.
- Brianna Green had five kills for the second time this season.
- DU held Campbell to a negative .010 hitting percentage, the lowest they have allowed all season.

- DU has now won its last 11 road regular-season matches away from Hamilton.

Turning Point
Denver coming out and setting the tone with a 25-14 first-set victory.
1st Set
Both team traded points resulting in a 4-4 tie to start the match. But it was all Denver after that behind the play of Bartalo, taking the opening set handily, 25-14. Bartalo was masterful in the set, finishing with six kills and three digs while showcasing her array of shots.
2nd Set
Second set was all Denver, who found its offensive and posted a .310 hitting percentage en route to a 25-16 victory.
3rd Set
DU opened the final set with a 6-0 run to start, taking command of the set. The Crimson and Gold never looked back after that, pushing its lead to double digits at 14-4 after an attack error from Campbell. Denver kept on the gas from there, securing a 25-15 set victory to take the match.

The Pioneers (3-0) begin a long stretch at home, starting with the Denver Invitational on Sept. 2. First up, a meeting with Northern Colorado at 6 PM MT next Thursday in Hamilton Gymnasium.
