DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer program will open its 2021 Summit League slate with a rematch of last season's tournament final when the Pioneers head to Omaha. Kickoff on Friday night is set for 6 p.m. MT at Caniglia Field.

The Pioneers controlled the opening 45 minutes and had a goal advantage at the break, but a second penalty conceded in as many matches and an unlucky deflection off a Denver defender saw the Pioneers drop their non-conference finale 2-1 at San Diego on Saturday. Denver had a 16-11 advantage in shots, including 6-4 in shots on target.
Denver vs. Omaha History:
Denver is 10-1-0 all-time against Omaha, winning each of the last nine meetings between the two programs. DU and Omaha split the first two meetings in the Pioneers first two years in the league with both teams winning away from home. The nine matches since have included two meetings in the Summit League Final, including April's 3-0 win for the Pios in the finale.

- The Pioneers are 54-13-3 in the Summit League since joining the conference in 2013.
- DU is 5-2-1 in Summit League openers.
- Denver has scored 24 goals from 12 different players to start the 2021 season. Sydney Sharp leads the way with six goals, followed by four from Kaitlyn Glover.

- Career Points Record Update: Feller has 77 career points, putting her seventh in Denver's DI record book. Beckman has 70 career points, moving her into a tie for ninth.
- Career Assists Record Update: Beckman has 34 career assists, two off Kristen Hamilton's 36 career assists and five assists off co-record holders Nicholette DiGiacomo and Jamie Norwood. Feller has 23 assists, good for eighth in Denver's DI record book.
- Career Goals Record Update: Feller has 27 career goals, good for eighth in Denver's DI history.

Denver continues its three-match road swing to open the league calendar with a two-match weekend next weekend and trips to St. Thomas (Oct. 8/3 p.m. MT) and Western Illinois (Oct. 10/12 p.m. MT).
