DENVER - The University of Denver men's basketball team turned in its most complete game of the year on Saturday, taking out Omaha in a rout, 94-63 in Hamilton Gymnasium. The win gave the Pioneers its largest margin of victory against a Division I opponent since Feb. 24, 2018.

Inside the Box Score:
- Michael Henn had his best game of the year, recording his first double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The senior also handed out a career-high six assists.
- Tevin Smith continued his hot play, finishing with a game-high 18 points, his fourth time this year scoring at least 16 in a contest.
- Touko Tainamo and Coban Porter each added 11 points.

Significant Stats:
- Denver picked up its first back-to-back wins since Jan. 20, 2019.
- DU's 56.5 percent shooting was its second highest total this year.
- The Crimson and Gold made a season-most 12 3s.  
- Pioneers had a season-low four turnovers in the victory.
- The Pioneers have matched their 2018-19 win total now with eight victories.

Turning Point:
A 14-0 run to break a 6-6 game and push the lead to 20-6 for DU by the 12:42 mark in the first half.

As it Happened:
 
First Half:
Denver got a good start to the afternoon, taking a 12-6 lead in the first 4:35 of the game. The Pioneers broke it open right after that, putting the lead in double figures and never looking back behind just stellar play from Henn, Smith and the rest of the starting lineup. Taelyr Gatlin gave DU its largest lead of the half at 49-19 after connecting on a 3 with 1:38 remining in the opening frame. The Pioneers took a 50-24 advantage into the break, its largest all season.

Second Half:
The final 20 minutes of play were in complete control for Denver, pushing the lead to 31 after a 3 from Porter made it 69-38. The Pioneers never let Omaha get any closer than 28 the rest of the way, completing its biggest win over a DI foe in years.

Up Next:
Denver (8-14, 4-5 SL) continues the homestand with the second meeting of the year against Kansas City on Jan. 27. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MT.
