LAS VEGAS – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs wrapped up day one of two in Vegas with double duals against UNLV and Toronto on Friday night at Jim Reitz Pool.
Friday's diving competition will be counted towards Saturday's meet.
Jessica Maeda picked up Denver's only win in the pool on Friday, while
Dan Kunin gave the Denver men a pair of podiums in the butterfly.

Swimming Highlights:
Kunin got Denver's first podium finish of the night, taking third place in the men's 100 fly with his time of 50.20.
Max Roslin led a trio of Pioneers in the men's 100 back with a third-place finish, clocking in at 53.49.
Jessica Maeda got the Denver women on the podium for the first time on Friday with a third-place finish in the 100 breast with her time of 1:03.49.
In the first of two distance races on Friday night,
Connor Hughes took third for the Pioneers in the men's 1000 free, reaching the final wall in 9:39.94.
Maeda got Denver's first win, backing up her third-place finish in the 100 breast with a win in the 200 breast, clocking in at 2:16.30. The Denver breaststroker won the race by 2.24 seconds.
Alex Lynch gave the Denver men another podium finish when he took third in the 200 breast (2:04.98).
Kunin made it a pair of podiums, improving on his 100 fly with a second-place finish in the 200 fly, reaching the wall in 1:51.28.

Denver will be back in action again tomorrow in Las Vegas when the Pioneers take on UNLV and Cal Baptist. Tonight's diving portion will count towards tomorrow's double dual. First swim is set for 11 a.m. MT.
