Zanusso Goes Low as DU Shines in Talented Field at Stanford on Day 1

Zanusso fires 67 on day one of tournament
STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Denver women's golf team in a strong start to open the Stanford Intercollegiate on Friday, finishing in third at 3-under. Anna Zanusso dialed it up on day one, firing a 4-under 67 in a highly talented field.

- Rose Zhang from the Cardinal leads the field at 5-under.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Zanusso was on her game on Friday, going bogey free on the day with four birdies, putting her in a tie for second place at 4-under.
- Clara Gestsdottir tied for ninth after positing a 2-under.
- Anna Krekling tied for 30th at 1-over.
- Alyson Bean closed out day one of the tournament tied for 44th.
- Erika Danielsson shot a 75 to wrap up the day tied for 71st.
