KANSAS CITY – The University of Denver women's soccer team captured its fifth consecutive Summit League regular-season title with a 2-0 win at Kansas City on Sunday.
Senior
Kaitlyn Glover opened the scoring after tapping the ball into the back of the net off a cross from sophomore
Delaney McGowan that went untouched through the box. Graduate student
Camryn MacMillan scored minutes into the second half, and redshirt senior
Nerea Arrazola made three saves to earn her seventh clean sheet of the season.
COACH'S NOTES:
From head coach
Jeff Hooker: "I felt the team was very gritty this weekend and performed well given a lot of travel. It's difficult going through this conference undefeated. I'm proud of the work our players put into it, and I'm super happy with how our staff supported the team."
SIGNIFICANT STATS:
- Denver has now won the Summit League regular-season title outright for the fourth consecutive year and the seventh time overall. It is also Denver's 13th regular-season conference title since becoming a Division I program in 1998.
- DU finished 8-0-1 in Summit League play for the second year in a row and went undefeated for a fourth time.
- Glover added her team-best third game winner of the season and her second in as many matches.
- It was also the fourth time in the last six matches that Glover had five shots, bringing her to 33 on the season.
- MacMillan scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season, the most in a single season in her career.

SECOND HALF:
47' | After winning a battle with a defender, MacMillan chipped the ball up over the KC keeper's outstretched hands, and the ball snuck in after bouncing into the right corner.
53' | Arrazola kept the clean sheet with a dive to her right to ensure a KC attack would not find the back of the net.
60' | Glover sent the ball toward the left post from the edge of the penalty box, but KC's keeper pushed it just wide.
