Volleyball Pushes Winning Streak to Three at St. Thomas

Memphis Glasgow ties career high with 19 kills

SAINT PAUL, MN --The Denver volleyball team fought back after dropping the first set to secure a 3-1 victory (23-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-12) over the St. Thomas (MN) Tommies Saturday on the road at Schoenecker.

The conference victory improved Denver's record to 15-9 overall and 9-4 in Summit play.

Memphis Glasgow finished with 19 kills on the day to lead the Pioneers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .302. Defensively, had two players reach double figures in digs as Gianna Bartalo had 26 and Ryen Wilkens had 11. From the front row, Brianna Green contributed seven blocks.

SET 2 | Denver responded to pick up a 25-22 victory in set two, evening the match at one set apiece. The Pioneers rallied after being down as many as eight points at 17-9 to win the set. Denver jumped in front at 22-21 and held on for the victory, totaling 15 kills along the way. Denver's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking five St. Thomas (MN) attacks in the stanza.

SET 3 | Denver built on that second-set success with a victory in set number three to open up a lead at two sets to one. The Pioneers seized the set 25-19.
