Melville went 14-1 in the fall season with her only loss coming to No.-1 ranked Fiona Crawley (North Carolina) in the round of 16 of the 2022 ITA National Fall Championships. In the first round, Melville upset No. 38-ranked Alexandra Stepanova (Stanford) in straight sets to become the first DU student-athlete to advance at the ITA Fall Nationals since 2017.
