Tainamo and Corbett have double-doubles in Denver's 86-64 win against Jags

NEW ORLEANS, LA --Touko Tainamo and Tyree Corbett each recorded double-doubles to help lead the Denver men's basketball team past the IUPUI Jaguars 86-64 at Kiefer Lakefront Arena Wednesday.

The double-doubles by Tainamo, who had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Corbett, who had 12 points and 10 rebounds, led the Pioneers (4-1) in the contest. Tevin Smith helped out with 19 points.

Denver out-rebounded IUPUI 32-23 in Wednesday's game, paced by 10 boards from Tainamo and Corbett.

Denver's defense held IUPUI to only 18.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc. The Jaguars did not have much luck cleaning up their misses on the offensive glass either, as they finished with eight offensive rebounds and managed 14 second chance points while Denver cleared 28 defensive rebounds.
