PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs were back in the water for session two of six on Friday night, the first finals session of the 2022 Big Al Invite.

Denver's women opened the opening night of the meet with a fifth place finish in the 200 free relay as
Erika Remington,
Emmy Francell,
Megan Lucyshyn and
Ines Marin combined for a time of 1:33.44.
In the first individual race of the evening,
Daniela Alfaro improved three places from this morning's prelims and took fifth in the women's 500 free, improving on her time by nearly a second, clocking in at 4:53.83.
Dylan Wright swam in the men's 500 free A-Final, reaching the final wall in 4:24.97 to come home in seventh.
Remington got back in the water for the Denver women in the 50 free A-Final, taking sixth with a time of 23.30.
Donat Fabian represented the Pioneer men in the sprint race's A-Final, swimming seventh in 20.23.
Denver's first spot on the podium Friday night came in the women's 400 medley relay when
Natalie Arky,
Jessica Maeda, Marin and Remington clocked in at 3:40.22.
