Haar Hits Seven Three-Pointers in Denver's 85-54 Loss to Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Graduate student transfer guard Ally Haar hit seven 3-pointers and totaled 23 points, but the Denver women's basketball team fell to the Colorado State Rams 85-54 at Moby Arena on Tuesday.

Haar added three assists to her 23 point game to lead the Pioneers (3-6). Makayla Minett helped out with five points and 14 rebounds and Emma Smith chipped in with nine points.

How It Happened

After falling behind 17-5, Denver went on a 5-0 run with 1:25 left in the first quarter, culminating in a three from Haar, to narrow its deficit to 17-10, a score that would hold for the rest of the period.

Colorado State kept adding to that lead, building a 35-20 advantage before Denver went on a 6-0 run, highlighted by a three from Haar, to narrow its deficit to 35-26. Colorado State responded and expanded its lead, leaving the Pioneers trailing 40-28 heading into halftime.

CSU kept widening its lead in the second half, constructing a 70-45 advantage before Denver went on a 5-0 run to shrink the deficit to 70-50 with 6:13 to go in the contest.
