DENVER – The University of Denver hockey team ranks No. 3 in nation in both the DCU/USCHO.com poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll after the latest rankings were released on Monday.
 
It is the highest that the Pioneers have been ranked since being No. 2 in the country on Nov. 11, 2019. Denver received four first-place votes in the DCU/USCHO.com poll and three first-place nods in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine survey.
 
This is the second straight week that DU has been No. 3 in the USA Today/USA Magazine poll, while it moved up in the DCU/USCHO.com poll after being No. 4 last week.
 
The Pioneers are 20-5-1 on the season and are leading the NCHC with 38 points and a 13-3-0 record after sweeping then-No. 7/6 St. Cloud State last weekend. Denver has won a season-high eight straight games and is on a 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1) since returning from the holiday break.
 
The NCHC has six teams ranked in at least one of the two polls, including four in the top 10.
 
UP NEXT: The Pioneers host the No. 6/6 Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs this weekend to close out a four-game homestand. Friday's game begins at 7 p.m. MT, while Saturday's contest is set for 6 p.m. MT.
