LAST TIME OUT:
Denver earned its second highest score of the season on March 5, tallying a 197.075 to finish first in a Penn State quad meet. DU swept the event titles including freshman
Mia Hebinck capturing the first title of her career with Denver's best bars score of the year (9.950). Sophomores
Jessica Hutchinson and
Rylie Mundell won the remaining four titles.

EYE ON THE RANKINGS:
DU increased its NQS by more than a tenth to 196.830 following the Penn State meet while also increasing its NQSs on all four events. The team is now ranked No. 14 overall and in the top 15 on vault, bars and beam.

QUICK HITS:
- For the fifth meet in a row, Hutchinson captured the all-around title and led the Big 12 Conference in scoring.
- Six DU gymnasts set or tied a career high on March 5 including freshman Momoko Iwai and sophomore Rosie Casali on vault, and junior Emma Brown on beam.
- Sophomore Abbie Thompson began her return from a January 30 injury, competing in exhibition on beam at Penn State.
- Sunday's meet will feature multiple people with Olympic ties including:
- Denver graduate student Lynnzee Brown joined Simone Biles' post-Olympic tour in the fall of 2021.
- Oregon State freshman Jade Carey won Olympic gold on floor at the 2021.
- Arkansas coaches Jordyn Wieber and Kyla Ross won team gold in 2012 while Chris Brooks competed in the 2016 Games.
- Nebraska freshman Emma Spence was named an alternate for Team Canada last year.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS:
Oregon State scored a 196.675 at Arizona in its last meet with Carey winning the all-around, vault, bars and beam titles. Teammate Lauren Letzsch was first overall on floor. OSU finished the weekend by winning a share of the Pac-12 regular season title.

Carey is the nation's top ranked gymnast in the all-around and on bars while also ranking in the top five on vault and floor.

SCOUTING THE RAZORBACKS:
Arkansas placed third at the March 6 Elevate the Stage meet, scoring a 196.800. Sarah Shaffer tied for second on bars, and Kenned Hambrick and Makenzie Sedlacek tied for third on vault.

Amanda Elswick is nationally ranked on beam, coming in tied for No. 13. Hambrick is just outside the top 25 on the event as well.

SCOUTING THE HUSKERS:
Nebraska hosted George Washington and Lindenwood on March 4, placing second with a 194.925. Spence won the all-around title; Marina Comin won the vault title; and Kynsee Roby won the beam title.

Spence leads Nebraska in all-around NQS. Kinsey Davis has the team's top vault, bars and beam NQSs while Makayla Curtis has NU's top NQS on floor.

WHAT'S NEXT:
Denver begins the postseason by hosting the 2022 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship on Saturday, March 19, at 5 p.m. The meet will be held on podium and will be televised live on ESPNU.
