Denver Ups Partnership with INFLCR, Launches “The Pioneer Exchange”

The new platform will be the central marketplace for all NIL information, education, opportunities and reporting

DENVER – The University of Denver Division of Athletics and Recreation, in partnership with national leader INFLCR, has launched a comprehensive Name, Image and Likeness platform. "The Pioneer Exchange" will provide the opportunity for DU student-athletes and interested outside parties to directly connect on NIL partnerships and opportunities.

"In November last year, the University of Denver made the commitment to its student-athletes to provide them the tools to leverage their success and empower them to grow their own brand in this NIL era," Vice Chancellor for Athletics, Recreation and Ritchie Center Operations Karlton Creech said. "Today, we're furthering that commitment by increasing the NIL opportunities that will be available to our student-athletes through The Pioneer Exchange. INFLCR is the leader in this industry, and we're very excited to enhance our partnership with them."

Within the INFLCR app, student-athletes will be able to communicate directly with third parties on opportunities for brand promotion, social media endorsements, camps, clinics and more. The new platform will be the central marketplace for all NIL information, education, opportunities and reporting. Interested outside parties and businesses will be able to register through the platform, and once pre-approved by Denver Athletics, will be able partner directly with Denver student-athletes.

"It's exciting to watch the University of Denver continue to enhance its NIL strategy with the launch of The Pioneer Exchange," said Jim Cavale, founder of INFLCR. "The initial investment in INFLCR in November of 2021 and now adding the Local Exchange platform exemplifies Denver's commitment to empowering student-athletes - a commitment we share. I expect many more institutions will follow Denver's lead to bring NIL opportunity management in-house."

Provided legal requirements set by state law and adherence to the University of Denver's NIL protocols are met, a business, collective or individual will be pre-approved and granted access to a searchable database of Denver student-athletes. The approved parties can message the student-athlete directly or request contact information in order to begin NIL transaction discussions.

INFLCR and Denver Athletics will not be a party to the negotiations. Those will be conducted strictly between the student-athlete and the interested business. The Pioneer Exchange will be a free service to student-athletes and businesses.
