[60] Denver Falls to [39] SMU

The Pioneers eight-game win streak comes to an end in neutral site 5-2 loss in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas – The [60] University of Denver women's tennis team's eight-game win streak came to an end on Thursday as the Pioneers fell to [39] SMU 5-2 on the campus of Texas Tech.
 
Doubles:
SMU got wins on courts one and three to secure the doubles point.
 
Singles:
Denver got wins on courts five and six on Thursday afternoon. Toni Nelson won her match on court five by a count of 6-4, 6-2 and Tatum Burger won her match 6-4, 6-1 on court six.
 
Britt Pursell took her match to a third set on court two, but fell in the tiebreaker 10-8.
 
Up Next:
Denver (9-5, 3-0) will have Friday off before taking on Texas Tech in Lubbock on Saturday at 11 a.m. MT.
