FIRST QUARTER:
Following a 10-day layoff, Denver's Bea Behrins picked up right where she left off last Tuesday, scoring her first of the game 54 seconds into the contest off a feed from Kayla DeRose.

Despite taking seven of the first nine shots, it was Drexel that found the next two goals and took a goal lead into the second quarter.

SECOND QUARTER:
Denver used its calling card of the entire season to date, its defense, in the second quarter, shutting out the Dragons while getting three goals on the other side to take a 4-2 lead into the locker room.

DeRose's 11th tally of the campaign evened things up at 2-2 with 12:13 to go in the half. Boote got into double figures off a feed from Black to put Denver back in-front with 10 minutes to go and Ellie Curry gave the Pioneers their first multi-goal lead with her ninth of the season.

The Pioneers won six of the seven draw controls in the first half and the defense forced Drexel into 12 turnovers against nine shots allowed. Bohi made four saves in the opening 30 minutes and Morton led the Pioneers defense with three CTs.

In shutting out Drexel's offense in the second, the Pios held the Dragons to just two shots in the second 15 minutes.

THIRD QUARTER:
Denver's defense continued to shine in the third quarter, with Bohi stopping three shots and only allowing the one goal with 1:12 to play in the stanza. Denver's D's dominant stretch saw the Dragons score their second and third goals 28:46 apart.

The Pioneers offense came through Black's 19th of the season to make it 5-2 Pios and Boote's second tally of the afternoon that made it a 5-0 Denver run and pushed the Pioneers margin to four at 6-2 with 8:47 to go in the third.

FOURTH QUARTER:
The scoring picked up in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter with Denver scoring four of the five that found the back of the net in the stretch.

Sloane Kipp's third of the season put Denver back four goals in-front before Drexel quickly responded to cut the Pioneers lead to 7-4 with 12:58 to play.

Denver then ripped off three-straight with tallies from Julia Gilbert, Black and Boote's hat trick tally.

Boote's goal with 9:48 to play was the final goal of regulation.
