University Place, Wash. – The University of Denver women's golf team got a good start on Monday at the Redhawk Invitational. The Pioneers finished up the day in fourth at 18-over as a team.

Significant Stats:
- UCLA leads the 18-team field at 1-under, the only team to go under par for the two rounds of play on day one of the tournament.
- The Bruins' Emma Spitz sits in first through 36 holes at 6-under, three strokes ahead of the field.
- The Crimson and Gold's par 4 average of 4.18 as a team was tops on the day.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:

Anna Krekling and
Anna Zanusso were the top performers on Monday for DU, finishing tied for 15th at 5-over.

Alyson Bean wrapped her afternoon tied for 22nd with teammate
Katarina Drocarova at 7-over.

Clara Gestsdottir tied for 29th at 8-over.
