SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Denver women's golf team had three members of its team rewarded for their respective seasons on Friday, earning All-Summit League honors in a release by the league.
Alyson Bean,
Anna Krekling and
Anna Zanusso all earned league honors. Bean and Zanusso each were selected to the first team, while Krekling made the second team.
Zanusso is the only first-team honoree back from the 2021 squad as she posted five top-10 finishes and owns a 72.48 stroke average, which is third among league golfers.
Bean earned first-team honors after claiming second-team nods in 2019 and 2021. Bean has three top-10 finishes and enters the Championship with a 73.36 stroke average, which is fourth among league golfers.
Krekling makes her first all-league selection this year after having her best season yet. She was the third league golfer to win a tournament after posting a 36-hole total of 138 (-6) to claim medalist honors at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic. Krekling held the fifth-best stroke average in the regular season at 73.92 and posted a pair of top-five finishes.
Denver will get ready to defend its crown in the Summit League Championship in Newton, Kansas starting on April 24.
